Biography

Jingyuan Tian is a London-based cinematographer with expertise across various roles in the camera and lighting departments. With three years of experience working in the Chinese commercial industry as a cameraman, 1st assistant camera (AC), and spark, Jingyuan has developed a well-rounded skill set in film production. During this period, he collaborated on numerous commercials and short films, contributing both on set and in technical aspects like virtual production and lighting.

His passion for filmmaking, especially in lighting, led him to further his education in cinematography at Metfilm School, where he worked on over ten short films as a gaffer and director of photography (DOP). Jingyuan’s technical skills extend to operating professional camera systems such as Sony A7, FX3, and ARRI Alexa, alongside his proficiency in lighting setups with HMI, Tungsten, and LED technology. He continues to hone his craft, building a portfolio of diverse projects that showcase his commitment to visual storytelling.
